Dr Joanne O’Riordan BDS NUI, PG Dip Imp Dent (U War)
Joanne qualified as a Dental Surgeon from University College Cork and established the Church Street Dental & Implant Clinic located in Cavan in February 2000.
She has a particular interest in Dental Implants, having recently received a Postgraduate Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the University of Warwick and has been placing Implants since 2003. With her extensive training in Implant Surgery, she is specifically qualified for the safe placement of dental implants and implant restoration.
Joanne has a Diploma in Conscious Sedation from Trinity College Dublin. From her vast experience as a dental surgeon, Joanne is aware that the barriers created by dental phobias are easily alleviated by intravenous and “happy air” conscious sedation techniques.
To keep up to date with current developments within the dental field, Joanne attends regular courses and lectures around the UK and Europe.
Dr Peter Gallagher BA B Dent Sc TCD
Peter qualified from Trinity College Dublin, and is perfectly suited to our enthusiastic and progressive team, here at Church Street Dental & Implant Clinic.
Peter has the added bonus of witnessing all new techniques and procedures first hand in Trinity College. He has a particular interest in conservation of teeth and achieved excellent success in his career to date.
Originating from County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland, Peter is a keen GAA Fan and remains optimistic that he will have more than one day out with his team at some point in the future!

Sarah Carbery – Dental Hygenist
Sarah qualified as a dental nurse from Trinity College Dublin in 2001, From there she worked in Jersey in private practice that specailised in oral surgery, and here in Ireland in the HSE in Dublin and Meath.
In 2006 Sarah qualified as a dental hygieneist from University College Cork and joined the team here in Church Street Dental and Implant Clinic in 2007.
Dr Michael Keane BDS, FDS (Glasgow), Dip Orth, MSc Orth (U Lond)
Jackie – Practice Manager
Jackie has been part of our team since 2004 and through dedication and hard work she has advanced from part-time receptionist to practice manager.
Her knowledge and experience enables her to discuss all aspects of treatment with patients and her gentle, friendly personality places everyone at ease. She is the friendly face that welcomes patients and has complete responsibility over all non-clinical areas of our practice.
Cathy – Clinical Manager
Cathy was the first employee of Church Street Dental & Implant Clinic and is with us for ten years. She has several years of experience as a dental nurse (she is not willing to disclose how many!). Cathy is a well known face at the practice and is renowned for her bubbly and sociable personality.
Cathy likes to attend day courses and conferences. In 2006, Cathy completed a hands-on course in Implant Dentistry for dental nurses’ at Spencer Woolfe’s Clinic at Harcourt Street in Dublin. In 2008, she completed a dental nurses’ course in Conscious Sedation at TCD.
She has the position of clinical manager over our 4 dental surgeries and is responsible for implementing our meticulous sterilisation protocols.
